Intracoastal Interiors is owned and operated by Jenny Kastner Lackey. Jenny earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design through a Council for Interior Design Accredited (CIDA) program at Winthrop University, accompanied by intensive study in architectural and interior design at the prestigious Domus Academy in Milan, Italy.
Upon graduating in 2009, Jenny moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where she had the opportunity to work with some of the most influential builders and designers in the Islands on a variety of projects from oceanfront luxury properties to five-star resorts.
Since returning to her hometown of Wilmington, NC Jenny has expanded her family and dedicated her professional focus to Intracoastal Interiors.
Intracoastal Interiors design style is collected, never decorated. We embrace the beauty of our natural surroundings and celebrate the uniqueness of each of our clients in our designs while remaining functional, timeless, and effortlessly beautiful.

We called Jenny after she was referred to us from a neighbor. She got to work right away by finding out what it was we wanted in a new kitchen remodel. We knew she understood us when she presented the design board for our kitchen. Jenny assisted us in picking our paint colors, tile back splash, lighting fixtures as well as flooring and cabinet hardware, all of which we love. Being new to the Wilmington area we didn't know many people and Jenny was instrumental in getting us in touch with wonderful painters, flooring and drywall contractors, as well as tile and granite showrooms. We would definitely work with Jenny again and would recommend her to anyone looking for an interior designer.

We were introduced to Jenny & Intracoastal Interiors by our builders, who have used Jenny in the design end of projects they have worked on. Our experience with Jenny was exceptional! She is extraordinarily personable, listens to what your design goals are & works toward that end, is very adept at resourcing design options at all price levels, timely in communication & sharing ideas, & has access to a multitude of resources. Working with Jenny was exceptional. She is very resourceful and has connections to the vendors and technical resources needed to make a dream come to fruition. What drew me to choose Intracoastal Interiors for our living room and den projects was that I could tell she would be someone who got me to the Finish. Throughout the process she listened, measured, searched for products and gave insightful opinions when necessary. As a busy mom myself, she made our move into our new home effortless by scoping products at stores and taking me to see the key ones. She managed our project within budget and really found us quality, fun, stylish pieces that I would've never found myself.We hosted our first party this past week in our new spaces and everyone felt comfortable and kept commenting on how perfect the house was. I had to admit - I had some very accessible, expert help - from Intracoastal Interiors.
