Owner and Principal Designer, Jenny Lackey, brings over fifteen years of design experience to Intracoastal Interiors, founded in 2017 in her hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina. A lifelong passion for beautiful interiors led Jenny to obtain a BFA in Interior Design from Winthrop University and a certificate in Luxury Hospitality Design from the prestigious Domus Academy in Milan, Italy. Upon graduation, Jenny moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to further immerse herself in the design industry; working with a high-end custom home builder on O’ahu, and then helping to launch a custom cabinetry business.

Jenny returned to North Carolina in 2014 to start a family with her husband Kevin, and shortly thereafter Intracoastal Interiors and her two babies, Owen and Airlie, were born. Infusing her designs with color, pattern, and texture that embrace the client’s style as well as the surrounding environment, Jenny seeks to create spaces that not only look good and function well, but make you feel something. Whether it be a happy sunroom, a relaxing primary suite, or a show-stopping entry, we want to help you tell the story of your life and family through your home.
